Tier 2 dependent 4 months stay outside UK

Hi all,

I am on tier 2 visa and I tried to search in policy guidance but could not get a clear answer.

Actually, my tier 2 dependent wife and child wants to travel to Pakistan for about 4 months time. Will they be ok in terms of extending visa and/or applying settlement in future? Will there be any problem for them at immigration counter when coming back to UK?

Is there any rule for Tier 2 dependent which says they cannot stay outside UK more than 90 days (I am aware there is a rule of 180 days in 12 months time)?

Would highly appreciate if Manci or other respected gurus suggest something as I need to book their tickets.

should be ok. Just make sure they are back before their leave expires and they apply for extension within uk.
