Germany Resident Permit

Post by natwarlal.govinda » Sun Apr 26, 2015 6:33 pm

Hello Experts

I have a question to ask and will really appreciate your help. I am Non EU citizen and have lived in Hungary for 3 years. I have moved to Germany last year in June.

My question is if I apply for my permanent resident permit of Germany (in future), will my days in Hungary count towards permanent resident permit or will I have to start from again scratch (meaning they will only count from the day I moved). I understand usually it takes 5 years to get it or 21 months if once have EU Blue Card.

Thank you for your support/help in advance.

Only time in Germany under a residence permit will count towards indefinite leave/citizenship.
