I'm still waiting, I haven't heard anything. Contacted them twice and I've heard different answers such as wait one to two weeks and call us back and it can take up to another 6 monthsjaweb wrote:I can see so many you have received your approval. Is there anyone who has been waiting since October?
Hey abundantgirl if its over 6 months then dont let HO play with u for another 6 months, how come they ask u to wait another 6 months without giving u any valid reason. do whatever u can do to expidite the process. Involve ur MP, call them and ask them that u want to talk to ur caseworker, email them, make a compaint, make an FOI request of ur case etc etc.abundantgirl wrote:I'm still waiting, I haven't heard anything. But congrats to everyone who has received their approval
Hi waiz89k, thank you for your advice. I'm not sure why they play around with people so much, I think I'll have to wait for re-election but I will contact them as much as I can. My case was very straight forward, no convictions, nothing to hide. I'm just not sure what could take so long. When I call them, they never ask for details just tell me to wait.waiz89k wrote:Hey abundantgirl if its over 6 months then dont let HO play with u for another 6 months, how come they ask u to wait another 6 months without giving u any valid reason. do whatever u can do to expidite the process. did u had any convictions or anything which can delay the process or was it a straight forward case?
Dear If 6 months r over, Call HO and talk to ur case worker or senior manager or if they r not available then ask them to arrange a call back from them. this is ur right and they r obliged to do so, So do it asap if 6 months r over. It will help and if ur case is still gathering dust then it will be look into atleast, as they know u start chasing it.waiz89k wrote:Hey abundantgirl if its over 6 months then dont let HO play with u for another 6 months, how come they ask u to wait another 6 months without giving u any valid reason. do whatever u can do to expidite the process. congratulation julain11. Ur case is yet another example of incompetency of HO case workers. I hope they start working sensible and do the work properly which they r getting paid for.Julian11 wrote:Approval received after reconsideration and ceremony completed over the last couple of weeks.

I can get bank statements but the question is that are they going to accept it and decide based on the statement or HO already made up their minds for refusal to everyone who overstayed in last 10 years.
Overstaying is a problem now.jefstudent wrote:I did not have leave stay at that time. I can get bank statements but the question is that are they going to accept it and decide based on the statement or HO already made up their minds for refusal to everyone who overstayed in last 10 years.
I didn't forget about you guys, I just logged in to check that my application is in fact past the six month deadline and it is. I came back in from a long weekend yesterday and the nice woman told me that she could tell citizenship hadn't been granted yet as my fingerprints were still on the system - apparently they get wiped as soon as it's granted. I am quite upset by this happening AGAIN as I was really hoping to get it back in time to register to vote. I doubt anyone is still looking at the October thread since you all seem to have gotten it back REALLY quickly but I guess it's time to get a lawyer. Again. like when the lost (or something) my ILR...I have no idea why they don't like me!YankeeKiki wrote:Update:
