Thank you both Casa and WR1 for your answers.Casa wrote:Then it's unlikely to be considered as meeting the financial condition. By the time the application was considered by the Entry Officer the employment would have been terminated. How strict is ongoing employment? How long does the employer have to confirm they want to keep you? Does that mean temp work wont work? One requirement is for the sponsor to submit a letter from the employer confirming terms, salary and ongoing employment
Well I sponsored my husband as a temporary (ongoing) worker and required only a week's notice from either myself or the employer. If the contract is fixed term it might be tricky as mentioned above but if it's merely ongoing but just not permanent then you should be fine.suli wrote: Thank you both Casa and WR1 for your answers.
This was exactly my fear. How about the following scenarios:
1.If I can provide a letter from a different employer confirming that he/she will employ me after month 7 will that work?
If the contract does not stipulate an end date then that should be fine.
2.If I wait till month 8 start with the different employer (do I have to wait for month 12 or can I apply for cat A?)
You would need to wait until you have 12 months or until you have earned 18.6K with both jobs.
3.the current employer wants to keep me a few months more
