Advice on PBS tier 2 dependant.

Post by zgokool » Tue May 12, 2015 10:30 pm

Hi there. my wife just recently got her ILR. Before this she was on a tier 2 general visa and applied through the 10 year residency route.we have been married since oct 2013 and I have successfully being a granted a pbs dependant till oct 2015. I have stayed in the UK legally for 8years (june 2015). I had been advised that I will need to apply through the pbs dependant.

questions:
1. If I apply in June 2015, how many years should I expect to get? 2 years or 3 years?
2. what evidence will I need to provide.
3. what is the amount of funds my wife will need to show and myself?
4. will they still need my wife sponsor's letter for maintenance purposes?
5.will I need to send my wife passport and BRP in my application as well.?
6. Will I be able to apply for same day service?

any advice would be appreciated.

1. She should switch to FLR(M) under Appendix FM (initially granted 2.5 years).

2. Appendix FM-SE.

3. Partner 5-year route.

4. See 2.

5. Expect so.

6. Yes.

thank you for your answer.
just called home office and spoken to a jimmy, who confirmed the same thing. so I will be granted 2.5 years and have to extend again.
Will that not make me eligible for 10 years? or I will have to wait for another 5years?
