Tier 2 General Employment Termination and Employer Switch

Hi Everybody,

My "Tier 2 General" Visa has been issued few days ago. In the mean time, the employer gave me a notice to terminate the employment contract because the company will shutdown its UK site. Because of this early notice, I haven't entered the UK and I haven't started my work with the employer.

I'm willing to look for another sponsor and get benefit of the Visa I'm holding currently. My question is what are the legal and lawful steps can I do until I find another employer sponsor to switch to given that I'm currently outside UK?

I have some more specific questions regarding the Tier 2 (General):
Can I change the employer/sponsor while being outside the UK?
If not, can I enter the UK under this Tier 2 Visa, however my current employer has given me the notice to terminate the contract?

you can change employer inside or outside the country, but each time you will have to apply for a new visa with a new visa fee.
If the employer has already notified UKVI about the termination, when you try to enter UK, it will be flagged up on the system, and you could be stopped from entering.
