Settlement Visa New Delhi Waiting Time

Hi,

We have recently applied visa for my wife under "family of a settled person" visa category. Some details

Application made on :- 02/April/2015
Office :- New Delhi

Has anyone recently received theirs visa in this category. If so, what was the waiting time?

Hi,

I've applied at the new delhi centre on 12/03/2015 for my wife. Still waiting. I think the current processing time is 25 working days but it seems to be around 44 days (more realistic). The gide line is 60 working days.

So, had send them an email and here is their reply :-

I have tracked the status and found that a decision on
your application has been delayed whilst further enquiries are being
conducted. Your visa application centre or the entry clearance officer will
contact you once a decision has been made or, if necessary, during the
consideration of your application.

We have service level standards for processing UK visa applications. We
will process 90% of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98% within
6 weeks and 100% within 12 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date;
and 95% of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the biometric taken
date and 100% within 24 weeks of the application (biometric taken) date.
Please note that we define 1 week as 5 working days.

I think interviews in Delhi have started recently, 2 weeks ago. Previously the vfs document did not show average interview time in Delhi but since 2 weeks the avg interview time in Delhi is 60 minutes.

Hi,
Visa is for settlement for my wife. I'm British citizen.
I'm director of my own limited company. Is the interview because of the financial documentation etc? I was thinking that if there was enough reason to reject then there would be no interview.

I'm hoping the interview is about genuineness of marriage etc. we will find out next week. Fingers crossed. Anybody else had similar experience.?

Hi

As its a settlement Visa, the interview will be based upon - 50% your relationship, 30%+ your Finance sources and 10%+ about the Accommodation.

It is an interview about how true the documents / evidences are and will throw some random questions at your wife related to them.

There is no SET of questions, it is all depend on the Interviewing Officer what and how he asks. You don't need to be worried, just ask your wife to memorise everything what it was written in the application / evidence + .

How do you know your husband / where / how you met / relationship / family history basically.

What he does / what will you do / how will he support / what you know about his job / business

Where you will live / is it own house / future plan if any...

how he became UK citizen ( naturalised / by birth )

I have emailed them asking about an update and got the usual standard reply

application has not yet been assessed by an Entry Clearance Officer (ECO).

comparing this to other people who applied who at least got an update saying more time require/unable to fulfil in the service levels !

And if you have read singhsaab post from today who applied from Jalandar on the 09 April and got the visa on the 06 May

bling_07 - They sent you the same response they sent me earlier.

Yeah, Singhsaab was the quickest approval i have seen and that too from Chandigarh.

The interview went well at the New Delhi BHC. The questions were mainly from the information submitted in VAF4A. No questions were asked about financials etc.

The Eco advised that the passport will be ready for collection tomorrow. However no email or sms was received today. I called the UKVI and they said the application is still under process and the last update recorded has been on 23/04/2015.

Any ideas how long it takes after the interview to receive the passport back. I think a couple of days after the interview should be expected normally.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

we have received an email today asking for original payslips and bank statement but that's not their requriement in the forms. Can someone suggest if they have submitted originals or photocopies?

Hi,

Don't worry about the payslips and bank statements. You should see this as a good sign that they don't have enough information to reject the application. Just provide them with the information and wait for next step. We were asked twice to provide information and then finally the interview call. Everything will be ok. Have a great weekend.

we received a message on 13 May that application is processed and ready for collection
picked up on 14 May and the visa has been stamped.

Congratulations!. When is your partner travelling to uk? I wish you guys happy life.

I contacted the UKVI today and was told that our application has been completed on 14/05 and we should get the passport in a day or so. I'm hoping the passport will have the visa in it. Fingers crossed. Thanks.

I've been waiting since April 13th..No luck yet! They just say it's not been assessed!
