Switching to Tier 2 General and ILR

Post by rradhapillai » Sun May 17, 2015 11:01 am

Hi,

I entered the country in 2011 on a Tier 2 ICT Establish staff visa (rules in place before 6th April 2011) and ,as of today, I'm still working for the same sponsor. If I switch to Tier 2 General (via another sponsor) will I be eligible for ILR in 2016? If not what other options do I have?

Many thanks.

Switch to Tier 2 General would set the clock to 5 years for ILR. You can continue on Tier 2 ICT and apply for ILR after 10 years in the UK.
