Hello Forum
quick question. I arrived in the UK in 2009 and got my ILR in 2012 back of spouse visa in 2010. I want to apply for naturalisation in UK.
I am currently going through divorce which is still in process (i.e. i havent received absolute yet). As far as naturalisation application is concerned, no where in the form has an option where an applicant can tick to state whether i am applying on a 3 years marriage route OR 5 years residency terms. I qualify for both.
I am happy to enclose my wife's (who is a british citizen) passport and marriage certificate with my application. My question is, if i am granted decree absolute BEFORE my naturalisation application is processed, will they reject my application? BUT i still qualify on a 5 years residency terms. Should i forget about using 3 years marriage route and apply on a 5 years residency terms? In the application, i have to state my previous marriage but do i need to tell home office which route i am applying on?
