Qualification for HSMP

Post by lucylucy » Wed Oct 10, 2007 10:05 am

I am on a work permit at the moment. I make £24,000 gross annually. When I am calculating my salary for the HSMP points, do I count the gross or net pay?

Also, I know that people on a work permit can have a second job. Does the second job need to be the same job title/responsibilities as the first job in order for that additional salary to count towards an HSMP. Or do both jobs just need to fall under the same industry?

Both jobs I have are in the events industry, but the roles are the not the same.

Hope that makes sense.

Read the HSMP guidelines for the answer to the first question.

Read the work permit guidelines for the answer to your second question.
