Help! Tier 2 Extension - no employer!

Hi everyone

I wanted to find out about a Tier 2 extension. Someone got a Tier 2 visa which expires next year but the application was done by an agent and the person has not worked for the employer nor is that employer on the sponsor list anymore. The visa expires next year. How can the visa be extended?

It's obvious:
Find a sponsor!!!! The job should be an actual job. What has this person been doing this whole time if they haven't worked for their sponsor?? This smells super fishy and dodgy to me. For ILR, the person should be abiding by their visa conditions and this doesn't sound like the conditions for Tier 2 are being met.

The person has been working for someone else. Is it possible to make an application to switch employers or will the UKBA ask for details and check on the current employment which should have been done under the visa?

So they have been working illegally? UKVI can check all sorts of records, including tax.

i would suggest the best thing is to leave the UK and make any application again from outside UK?

They would be subject to a 12 month cooling off period. It's really a no-win situation once the rules are broken... in theory they can be refused in the future over this issue too.
