Visit visa previous use of nhs

Post by eejzx » Tue May 26, 2015 6:19 pm

HI there,

Would appreciate some help. My mother in law previously visited the UK in 2003. She suffered a stroke and was in hospital for around 3 weeks and recieved treatment and medication. The treatment was not paid for. She was visiting her daughter at the time in Glasgow whether it was in Scotland I'm not sure if it makes a difference.

Anyway they are applying now again for a visit visa, does this need to be mentioned? Someone mentioned as it was over 10 years ago they probably wont have a record of it therefor no need to mention it.

Personally I think that it should be mentioned but both her sons are adamant that it shouldnt be mentioned.

Thanks for your help.

OF COURSE!!! All previous use of the NHS should be mentioned. If possible, I would chase up and pay what should have been paid. She was not entitled to use the NHS and she did - this should be fixed. It doesn't matter that it was over 10 years ago - these rules haven't changed!!!
