Wife Visa Extention-Housing Benefit

Hi To All Members,

I got ILR on 13/03/2015 on the basis of Tier 1 General visa and my wife got extension for further 3 years as an dependent Tier 1 visa basis on April-2015. She needs further 5 years to stay on dependent visa to get ILR. My wife expecting baby around this year September. My question is that:

I am going to apply Housing benefits on my ILR basis due to low income.

Will this benefit effect on my wife visa extension which will be due on May 2018?

Your wife can't be included in the calculation when deciding whether you qualify for HB. If you claim tax credits these should be in joint names and once your baby is born, child benefit in your name only.
