Tier2 extension and change of address

Hi
Our office moved to new premises last month and now we have new trading address. Our registered office address remain same. My sponsor has now applied to change address in SMS but i think it will take some time before they change address in SMS. I'm going to apply tier2 general visa extension in this week as my current leave will be expiring on 23rd of this month. So please advise should i wait or it is save to apply in this week and i mention the address change somewhere in covering letter? please let me know.
