Processing time for long stay schengen visa

Hello everyone,

I'm a moroccan student, planning to go to study in Europe, France to be more precise, i will be having a Skype interview in the upcoming days, I was kinda preparing the questions, and there is that one question that puzzles me, which is : How much time does it take in general to process the long stay visa application, I have been looking around on internet and facebook pages and groups to have an idea about that, but I couldn't find any reliable answer, except for the fact that it takes sometime, but how much time exactly? The program I applied for needs the person to be available in France as soon as possible, and i'm not sure about the answer i will provide if they get to ask me how much time does it take to have the visa.
