English language requirement for Tier1 dependent's ILR

Post by sma_tier1 » Sat Jun 06, 2015 10:11 pm

Dear friends,

I have doubt regarding the English language requirement for my wife's ILR. I need your guidance here. Please reply.

I hold Tier1 General visa. Me and my dependents have ILR appointment on 8th July 2015 at Croydon.
My wife did her "Master Degree In Commerce" in India and it was taught in English. She has medium of instruction letter given by her COLLEGE (Not University). Her University name and course appears in the points based calculator and gives her 10 points.

For a dependent to qualify the English requirements for ILR
1. Does UKBA accept medium of instruction letter from College ?
2. Is it enough to produce the original certificate of the Master Degree and the print out of the points based calculator showing 10 points ?
OR
Should I go for UK NARIC certificate ? If yes, which certificates ?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks,

you will be ok with option (2)

good luck

PS I always ask people to submit not just degree certificate but also the supplement (marking sheet)
**Please note, you can no longer contact me by PM because owners of this board accused me of using it to recruit clients, and disabled my ability to read and send PMs.**

Thanks sagareva for your reply. Just to clarify, did you mean me to use "original degree certificate, mark sheets and print out of points based calculator scoring 10 points".
