US visitor visa for UK spouse

US visitor visa for UK spouse

My wife is currently on a UK spouse visa until June 08 after which she can apply for her permanent residency.

She wants to apply to a US tourist Visa but wondering if the chances of getting the visa considering she is not a UK permanent resident as yet? She is hoping to go to the US for the new year.

Also does she need to provide any flight booking/accomodation at the embassy on the interview day?

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

That shouldn't be too much of a problem if she can provide evidence of strong connections to the UK (e.g. job, mortgage/rental agreement, etc).

No, indeed it would be a good idea not to make any travel arrangements until she has a visa. See here for more information.
