Documents required for citizenship application pls help

Hi everyone,
I need some help with the evidence in regards with citizenship application.
I am here from 2009 and work as a self employed as well as employed,now I was ready to filled in EEA Pr form and notice that along with all evidence for work and residence have to send letter for benefits along with bank statements. Problem is that I had received tax credit , working tax credit and child benefit but in my wife account as was a joint claim.
A solicitor said I can apply direct for citizenship in base of 6 years here ,do I have to provide letters with that benefits and my wife bank statements for the relevant period of 6 years even this is a single application only for me?
As I said I have continued work I have payslips, P60,P45 can provide letters from employers and as a self employed I have copy of the tax return,self assessment calculation,my invoice book,letter from HMRC with all the tax paid, bills in my name,mortgage statement for that period.
I am all confused with what I have to send as well as to go first with PR or apply direct for CB.
Could someone advice me pls?
I am an EEA citizen and in 2010 I had apply for registration card in order to work as a employee.
