First time Tier-2 application with wife in different country

Hello all,

I would like to ask for you advise in how to proceed with my application especially for my wife. We have a special case here.

I'm about to apply for Tier-2 general visa from outside uk. I need to apply for my wife as well but she is resident in another country. We are of same nationality buy none of us are living currently in our country of nationality.

What is the best way to apply for the visa for me and my wife?
- Each of us applies from the current country of resident. I apply first then she applies after I get my Visa?
- Both of us applying from our home country (But we travelling back there has some difficulties and also will need some time as she's finishing her studies and critical on time and I have full-time job that I don't prefer to quit unless I verify my successful visa application)
- Can I apply for her with my application at the same time in the country I'm resident in although she doesn't have residency in it? (Getting residency for her also will take time.)

Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Option 3 is not possible.

Would going with first option reduce our chances of the visa being accepted than the second one or both are the same?

I also think the option moonlight has mentioned work out best for your situation and I am positive that it should not affect your visa application provided you satisfy all the mandatory requirements.

as long as ur paperwork is all fine, chances are the same for both. I just think first option may work out best for you based on ur circumstances.
