when and how to get the Biometric permit ?

hi i'm about to apply for British Citizinship and there is a new section about Biometric and i have no idea how to get it or how and where and when to enroll ?
do i have to sent the application and wait for homeoffice to send me the invitation letter with a barcode that i need to take to post office or i have to get the Biometric first and send it with a application if so how do i apply then ? i'm really lost desperate for help

also does everyone need to provide Biometric proof coz my nationality is Iraqi and none of my family members needed it when they applied for British Citizenship ! i have right to remain in UK indefinitely btw.

how long have you had ILR for? If you had it where they just stuck in your passport then you should tick it where it asks if brp is lost/stolen etc and you will see a box called 'other' or you can explain....or u can explain in the extra information page near the back of the form that you haven't got a brp as u got indefinite before they issued brps..... if unsure call your nationality checking service at your local council and they can advise you

After you have applied for Naturalisation, Home Office will send you a letter for registering your Biometric information at the nearest eligible post office. Please click here and enter your postcode, then from services drop down, select BRP Collection Service and see which one is nearest to you. Take your BRP request letter from Home Office with you.

However, looking at your information, if you ever were Asylum Seeker, may I also request you read through this link to familiarise yourself with new rules please?

Thanks for the reply guys i'm refugee i was never ayslum seeker since the day i arrive UK with my family we arrived here as a refugee status back in 2002.
Now what i understand on the application form biometric enrollment section i have to tick box NO for question 6.1 then tick No also for box 6.12 then No also for question 6.16 then sign the declaration and put the date? then when i complete the whole application and send back to HO i would get the invitation letter to go post office and provide the information and post it back to HO i'm i right ?
