Help with appeal

Post by Mingolina » Wed Jun 17, 2015 9:04 pm

Hi I applied for a EEA resident card in January. In June I got invited for an interview but could not attend because my solicitor received the letter late since he travelled overseas. A second interview was scheduled and this time also I could not attend due to medical reasons. My application has been refused mainly because "there was no evidence that I was resident in home country when the marriage took place".
I have however been given the opportunity to appeal. I have payslips, letter from employer, letter from witnesses to show that I was in home country at the time of marriage. What else can I provide and if anyone can advice on how I should appeal the decision.
Thanks in advance

But you do have a solicitor ? Right ? He should be able to see you through the appeal, or is he not prepared to assist.

He is currently overseas and I am not even able to contact him. He returns after the 14 day period which I have to respond

Aside what I have stated as having in terms of evidence. What else do you think is required and also for this will a paper based appeal be better than an oral hearing

An Oral hearing is always better in my view
