Changing employer but dependent's previous BRP found lost

Post by CharlieG » Thu Jun 18, 2015 5:30 pm

Please give me some guidance on what I need to do.

My wife's BRP recently got lost but I am just about to change an employer, which will apply a new Tier 2 for me using premier service (current one only expires in 2016).

My question is if my wife needs to get a replacement visa for her current dependent visa? Can she apply with me together without getting the replacement visa?

I phoned HomeOffice today and they said that she can apply together with me, but need to give a cover letter saying that current one is lost. But she said this is not guaranteed to be fine.

We have a travel plan at the end of July before my new job starts in August. Does this mean that hers new dependent visa might need to be delayed?
