Hi all,
> My status: Tier2 holder in UK (valid for another year) AND EU-permanent resident card (biometric format) unlimited but connected to passport validity = it has to be renewed with passport renewal.
> Circumstances: 1.married to EU-national two weeks ago -2. Passport is about to be expired and has to be soon renewed - 3. I am a frequent traveler to main land Europe which requires both my passport and my EU-resident card.
> My Goal: Applying for EEA family permit (Biometric card), and remaining able to travel abroad and come back to UK during the application process ( most probably it can only mean without submitting neither my passport nor my EU resident card ).
Q0: what shall I first do? a) renew passport and then apply for EEA family member visa, or b) Apply for EEA family permit and then renew my passport meanwhile?
Q1) What is a valid excuse to avoid submitting my pass and ID? Will they reject me if I send them certified copies of both, instead of original and ask them to request whenever they want them?
Q2) in both scenarios a)or b) during the EEA family permit application process time, I will have a passport which does not have any visa on it (it is a new passport). How can I travel abroad with it? Will UK border let me in with my Tier2 visa in a not-anymore-valid ex-passport?
Q3) Do u know any better option for my problem?
Regards,
Ayous
