Won't bore you with the 2 year long boring story, so short version of my situation is :
-I'm an Australian citizen looking to apply for a visa to move to Europe. I'm almost 90% decided on Sweden but the Nederlands is my second option.
-I had a UK visa denied last year and am REALLY concerned about applying and getting my visa denied for the Schengen areas in case that affects travel in the future. This might sound paranoid, but I had a lot of problems attempting to enter London as a tourist after my Working Holiday Visa was denied
. I really don't want to have trouble entering Schengen areas in the future as my boyfriend is based in Spain so being unable to visit him would be really awful. Because of this, I'm too scared to "just apply and see what happens" like most people have said to me in the past. I'd only want to apply for a visa, if I was sure I had a pretty good chance of getting it, and then it would be worth the risk. SO, I was just wondering if anyone had any advice, or knew what organisation I could call to give me advice on the following things:
-What is the likelihood of my being able to obtain a Working Holiday Visa for Sweden with a minor conviction? I only had to pay a fine for the conviction so it is quite minor, but it was a criminal charge and was the reason my UK visa was denied. I know that you do not have to declare a conviction on the Swedish Working Holiday Visa, and people say the Swedes are more leniant on this sort of thing - any advice? or know who I can call for advice on this? I spoke to the embassy but they will only tell you so much.
-Anyone know if I'd be more likely to get a Visa for the Nederlands over Sweden? From the looks of the application, Sweden seems a bit more leniant.
