Hi there All,
I'm beginning the preparation for my IRL application from Tier 2 (General) and have managed to confuse myself on the subject of the eligability of the English language test from my original T2G application with my upcoming IRL application.
I undertook the Pearson Test of English Accademic directly with Pearson in London (as far as I recall). My PTE Accademic certificate was issued on 2010-10-09 and the lowest score for any of listening / reading / speaking / writing is 84 which I believe classes it as C2. My visa was valid from 2010-11-22 and my entry stamp was on 2010-12-01. I believe then that I should be allowed to apply for ILR from Monday 2015-10-26 onwards (no earlier than 28 days prior to the 5-year anniversary of my initial visa).
I've been reading through the rules as linked from https://www.gov.uk/government/collectio ... tion-rules (particularly rules part 6a paragraph 245HF(f) and appendix KoLL paragraph 2.2(b)) and as I understand it when I apply for ILR I can submit the results of a previously accepted English test provided that both it and the testing institution are still on the list in appendix O. the PTE Accademic is no longer on that list. It was up until 2015-03-02 per the archived rules at https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... march-2015 and so it looks like I'm falling afoul of this most recent change.
The confusion comes in when I read the current version of appendix KoLL section 4 - the list of documents to be submitted - and paragraph 4.7(b) clearly states that a PTE Accademic is permitted from an institution on the list in Appendix O (which again doesn't list Pearson as a provider). I'm going around in circles is seems.
So the question is will I have to take another English test before applying for ILR?
