Citizenship query. Address change during application process

Post by chandelyt » Mon Jul 06, 2015 12:40 pm

Hi,

I am be eligible for British citizenship (Tier2-ILR-Citizenship) now along-with my family. We have booked the National Citizen Service appointment with the local council later this month.

Now I received notice from Landlord to vacate the house by end of August as it has been sold and new owner wants to move-in. I am now confused, Shall we submit the application and then change the address? or move to new house and then apply.

To do this I need to postpone the application to at-least mid of Sep when I will be in new house. A

Cheers

Better to notify NCS the possibility of moving house and request to move the appointment further by couple of weeks.

Be safe than sorry,
Siraj

Redirect your mail and update your address. I applied towards the end of June and moved end of July, wasn't an issue. Of course I didn't have the biometric enrolment step so your mileage may vary.

If you don't know where you're moving to then move your appointment.
