Tier 2 Depedent Visa (under shortage list)

Post by NISHIN1 » Tue Jul 07, 2015 12:50 pm

I am planning to apply for my child dependent visa who is currently in India, but born in UK. I have Tier 2 General Visa under shortage list category (valid till 22/07/2019).
In the UKBA website, I have seen two options for PBS dependent visa fee. One for PBS dependent visa up to 3 years; and other above 3 years. At present, I am planning to apply for 3 year dependant visa for my child, so is it possible for me select this option even, even if I have visa which is valid for more than 3 year ?

No, he will need to apply same visa which you are on. Even if you were applying in say 2017, and his visa would have lasted less than 3 years, u will still have to apply for dependent of tier 2 of more than 3 years.
this is IMHO
