time line for fiance visa

Hi i applied on the 10 april online and done my biometrics on the 11th May in Ottawa Canada for a settlement visa marriage (fiancevisa). I brought all my documents at that appointment. i received email from Sheffield on the 12th May saying that my application is in process. Since i havent received any more emails and i am still waiting and worried . Is there anybody here who have had similar situation ? i still dont know if it has progressed or still in the queue. I emailed uk visa and still no answer from them. Im worried they lost it. i also paid health care surcharge which i dont know i should have paid or not. thank you all

You shouldn't have paid the NHS Surcharge and you should ask for a refund.

I 'll wait til i get the decision and then will ask for a refund . I thought so that i did mistake. Hope will be OK.

Are you sure you applied for the correct category of visa?

Yeah i think i applied for the Right visa for (fiance visa) which is : SETTLEMENT/SETTLEMENT/MARRIAGE. I called UK visa line and the guy told me its SETTLEMEnt category MARRIAGE for my case cause i want to go get married in the UK and settle there and switch to spouse visa as soon as we are married. I called cause i could'nt see any choice for fiance. Its the step before the application of the visa that i think i made mistake in the health care surcharge site. i ended up paying 600 pounds , but its refundable. I wait to see the decision and what they suggest to do.
