The 'advice' you have been given in incorrect. You are currently entitled to NHS treatement, but when you extend your visa you will have to pay the surcharge.truthparrot wrote:Hi everyone. My question is - if you already got a spouse Visa last year and so did not pay the new immigration surcharge and you are in the UK now, will you be charged for any NHS treatment. I heard that since APril 2015 you would need ILR to get free treatment, otherwise they will bill you for any treatment. Is this correct? Thanks if anyone knows.
