1. Come on a WP or HSMP (I guess this is your route)ashishashah wrote:Hmm..
Ok let me comprehend this.
1)You first come to UK on WP/HSMP ..
2)Apply for FLR every time your visa runs out
3)When u reach 5 years in UK, u apply for ILR (PR Is for EEA..EEA is for European ppl)...U also need to pass "LIfe in UK " Test after ILR
4)Once u get ILR ,and u be on ILR for 1 year, you can apply for British citizenship....
5)Once u r on ILR, you can enter and exit in UK with out any issues/visas..Is this true for life time, or at some point you HAVE to become a Citizen??
Pl. correct me if i am wrong..

That is absolutely right - but it should also be said that ILR can be revoked a LOT more easily if the holder commits a criminal offence and the SSHD makes a deportation order.sakura wrote: 5. If your main country of residence continues to be the UK, then your ILR is good for life and you can leave and enter with no problems (the problems arise when your main country of residence ceases to be the UK). You don't HAVE to naturalise if you don't want to. There is NO legal requirement.
