Shengen Visa for Spain

Post by Gregorr » Tue Jul 14, 2015 10:07 pm

Hey guys

I've just discovered this forum page and so glad I did! So much useful information, hats off to all the people out there using their spare time to help others out.

Hopefully someone out there has the answer to my question.

I am South African, living in Belfast. I hold a residence card granted to me on the basis that I was in a durable relationship with an EU citizen.
This is the second citizen card I have received, the first was granted on the basis that I was still dependant on my father who is an EU citizen.
My immediate family all live over here, both my parents have Irish passports and one of my sisters.

Unfortunately the relationship between me and my girlfriend wasn't as durable as we had hoped and ended over a year ago. I've been naughty and not declared my change of situation to immigration.

I have a new girlfriend and she has bought us a surprise holiday to Spain. She is English and has a British passport.

Will we be able to travel to Spain, without applying for a shengen visa?

She will, you won't.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
