Need advice on rejected EEA Family Permit.

Post by Yoma1408 » Wed Jul 15, 2015 10:27 pm

Hello,

I joined this forum because I saw allot of activity and genuine advice being given.

I recently married and decided to move back to the UK as I worked and lived here. After submitting the application we got a rejection on the basis that I am not a genuine job seeker, I quit my job right before getting married as I had to travel abroad and stay there for a while for the application with my now wife.

I did and do apply to other jobs, even before leaving; but did not provide that as evidence to the application. Also, they are doubting that I actually do reside in the UK. Me and my wife are now in the UK, with her on a visitor visa; as we had to arrange a few things on my side.

At the border everything was cleared, and the border agent was nice enough to give us some advice on the application. She said that instead of a appeal or re-application, we could simply provide the documents they need by sending it to them. After looking everywhere, I am still not quite sure on how to do that. I know to appeal or re-apply I need to travel abroad again, which is totally fine; but if there is another solution like the border agent said that would be great.

I myself am from the Netherlands, but currently living in the UK. Been here 6 months now, she's also going to study at a university here and already got accepted. Would it be easier to get a settlement visa, someone mentioned that as well.

Thank you very much in advance, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
