can I apply tier 2 long term in between of short term visa

Can I apply for long term tier 2 visa in between of short term visa or do I have to wait to expire my short term visa. Please help.

My short term visa is expiring on 17 the July, can I apply long term visa in June.
If yes, then what will happen to my short term visa? Please help.

Yes, you can do that. Once your T2 ICT Long term visa is approved, your short term visa will automatically get cancelled.

Have u applied and got your long term VISA approved?
Are you with the same employer (whom you worked for with short term ) or changed the employer?
