Where to apply for in country employer change?

Hello,

I'm currently employed in a company under tier-2 visa. I may need to change my company soon. Before starting, I wanted to make a search and read the stuff written in https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/overview.

At the gov.uk page, in the extending your visa page there is a section titled "if you change your job" so I thought I have to extend my visa when I change my employer. To extend the visa there are 2 ways I can see. Online application and priority service.

When I click to the link for the online application, it redirects me to https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general. I'm planning to use priority service but if I can't, online application is the only way to go I guess. Am I correct?

Or to change the employer, do I need to return my country and make my fresh application from there?

Before creating the post, I read http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 69661.html this topic but can't find answer to my questions.

To change your employer, you can switch visa from within UK. However, the process will be same as applying for a new T2 (G) visa (and not for extension). You can go for priority service for the switch.

For the switch, I checked https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/switch-to-this-visa this page and I thought "switch" process is for someone who is not under tier 2 (g) already because of the eligibility list on the page.

So, I think I should make priority application for the extend and in the form they will send I will be able to specify I'm doing a employer change. Is this correct?

Yes, correct. You will have to satisfy other application conditions as mentioned in the T2 guidance.
