Quick question on extra income as Workplace pension

Hi Expert,

I joined my current employer around 6 months back. They are planning to add workplace pension for each employee as it is going to become mandatory from August, 2015 ( i think) by UK government (https://www.gov.uk/workplace-pensions).

For employee getting salary below 40K, the employer is going to contribute the money (might 1 or 2 % of the salary) and the same is applicable to me.
In this case, does my employer need to inform HO or provide me a increment letter or any other formality as per sponsorship rule.

I have been searching for this in gov.uk, but could not find precise answer for this.

It is as per Govt rules, no need to provide updates to Home office,

In my company, last month everyone in office joined workplace pension.

entry level is 3% employee and 5% employer, after 3 years, the next level is 5% employee and 7% employer...

I don't know,whether the percentage depends on the company management or as per govt rules....
