New BRP not yet received, Can I travel on extant leave?

Hi

I applied for my Tier 2 (ICT) visa extension (which is valid till 2nd Sept) and I got a mail that my application is approved.
However I have not received my BRP yet.
As I need to travel outside UK on urgent basis, can you please advise whether I can travel with my old visa and re-enter UK before the old visa expiry date or I should wait for my BRP.
