Student and student dependent visa curtailed

Post by fatema2331 » Mon Jul 20, 2015 5:46 pm

Hi everyone,
I really need a professional help on this topic..
I am a student dependent and my husband is a tier 4 student. My husband came to UK in 2009 September. And got married in 2013 and I came to UK in March 2014. Since he came to UK he has been applying for different courses and getting his visa. We have a son born in UK in April 2015. Last week we got a letter from ukba saying that they have curtailed our visa and we have only 60 days to decide what to do next. Now the question is that ukba is not giving student dependent visa as per new visa rules. So what other option to get visa. We have to drag 10 years anyway to be eligible to apply for ILR. Can anyone help in this case. Whether to apply for the student visa again or is there any other way. As my son is a british born is there anyway to apply on his basis. Or shall we go for the asylum ?

Plz kindly respond to my post. We don't have enough time. Doesn't want to go back with empty hands.

Thanksss

sorry to hear that your visa has been curtailed. from what you have said it seems that you husband has been extending visas just to spend time in the UK.

To spend time in the UK and to get his 10 years done, he took admission in different colleges and etc. Now we all know that all the bogus colleges have been shut down and most probably the college in which your husband was studying closed down too.

Your 10 years will complete in August/September 2019.. which is 4 years away..i think it is very very hard to do 4 years in the current situation. Moreover do not take it personally but it is because of students like your husband because of whom genuine students have to face the tough rules. I really hope once the UKVI has filtered all the dodgy/bogus students they will relax the rules for genuine students.
