Very Important Please Help Tier 2 Visa Question

Hi,

I am currently sponsored under Tier 2 visa at a university, I got another job at another university. My current visa expires on the 15 October after three years working at this university.

I have received a COS from the new university and it says start date 1 September. Now what do i need to do

- do I fill a new application online for Tier 2 Visa general? not extension? just new visa up to 3 years or which one exactly? since the new work is permanent

- do I need to pay 651 pounds the application fee and 600 NHS ?

-What are the documents I need when submitting my application? Do i fill my application online, pay online for the NHS and application, and then print the application and attach the supporting documents and send it by post?

- What documents do I need to submit? do i need to submit old passport? old BRP? or just copies? exactly what documents

- Should i submit my notice period or wait until i get my new visa then submit my notice period? I AM NOT SURE

- How long does it usually take for the BPR to arrive?

-Can I work with the new employer until the new visa arrives? since my visa expires on October or that is not allowed.

what is the end date on the cos?

u will have to pay visa fee ( 651 or higher depending on end date on cos), plus the NHS surcharge which will be either £600 or £1000 depending on the end date on cos.

you will get a check list of document when u complete the form. should be straight forward.

u cant work for new employer till u get the new visa. once u get the new visa, then u can work for new employer.
I will suggest not to give notice till u get the new visa.

Essentially you are extending your visa but with a new sponsor. They will need to complete the RLMT unless the job is on the shortage list.

I already did reading and that is why I am asking. I can't apply for visa extension since I will be with a new employer other than the one who issued me the first Tier 2 visa.

Extension is if your working for the same place.

And in the application form it says your location your applying for, I am already in the United Kingdom, and the UK is not one of the options at the start of the application.

My start date at the new place is 1 sep but they said they can change it for whichever day I want. so from 1st sep 2015 to 1 sep 2018. and the notice period at the place I am currently working is 4 weeks.

what should I do, and the type of visa
