FLR(M) application

Post by asaleem » Wed Jul 22, 2015 12:07 am

Hello,

Although my query is not related to the subject but will really appreciate any help/guidance.

I am applying for FLR(M) under 5 year route. My wife is a british citizen and I hold a Pakistani passport. We both live and work in UK but got married in Pakistan. We currently hold a marriage certificate which is considered to be a legal document in Pakistan and it is in English language. Is it sufficient to take that along with my application (along with other documentation required) for my appointment or do I need to get our marriage registered in UK? If so what would be the process? I have contacted the local register office and they said that they don't register marriages celebrated in commonwealth countries.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Hijacking someone else's topic is not the appropriate way to solicit response(s) to your queries.

Post your queries regarding your application in this topic.
