Spousal Visa and sponsor on housing benefit

Hi

I earn £20,000 per year. I am currently receiving housing benefits,I have two children. My husband will be applying for spousal visa in November this year. I can work more if need be though it would mean childcare costs.

My question is should I get off housing benefits before we make an application?
