What is MArriage Visitor VISA

Post by jamalkhan » Wed Oct 24, 2007 3:14 pm

Hello again board,

Once again I need help.

While ago I applied for a Fiance Visa, and after a very tough time I manage to get a visa.

Surprisingly it said marriage visa which is multiple entry for 2 years ??

According to home office phone support, it seems like It is a marriage visitor visa not fiance. I tries to assure that I applied for Fiance.

my question is can I extend this visa after my marriage registration ?? or will I have to go back and apply again ?

Thanks

Jamal

I think that you should treat it as a fiancee visa, and contact the Home Office as soon as you marry to rectify the situation.

thanks Victoria,

I did and they says its like 50% chance. So what is this marriage visa.

If it was Fiance then it should only be valid for 6 months but mine is valid for 2 years ??

So in your opinion I should get Registration done asap and apply?
What are the chances ??

Hang on...does it say 'marriage visa' or 'marriage visit visa?' These are tow very different things.

It looks to me as if they have issued you with a spousal visa instead of a fiancee visa. You need to contact the Home Office when married to get this rectified.

He shouldn't, as it was the ECO's error. But you need to write to the Home Office to get it clarified.
