Tier 2 Visa new application

Post by gergesm » Mon Jul 27, 2015 7:51 pm

I am currently under Tier 2 visa for a sponsor (university), and i received a different offer and they are willing to do the sponsor letter. I would like to switch from my current sponsor to the the new sponsor. Do i Need to leave the country to apply for Tier 2 visa, or I can do it from inside the country?

This will be very difficult to do from outside the country, why are they making it so hard for people already inside the country.

What should I do?

You can switch sponsors from within the country itself.

Are you sure about this? because I have been reading and it says you need to leave the country and do a new application.

If you can apply from inside the country what is the link for a new Tier 2 visa? because it takes you straight to applying from outside the country.

Um, yes you can change within the country, provided you pass the RLMT or are exempt etc...

https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa

"If you change your job

You may need to apply to extend your Tier 2 (General) visa application if:

you want to change your job and your new job is with a different employer
your job changes to a different standard occupation classification (SOC) code
your job is taken off the shortage occupation list
your changes of job means you’re paid less than the amount stated on your certificate of sponsorship or work permit

You won’t need to make a new application if you’ll be staying with your current employer but your job will change in other ways, eg you want to change to a job in the same SOC code, or your pay will increase.

You must have a new certificate of sponsorship and you must meet all other application conditions, but you won’t need to send evidence in support of your application if you’ve sent it for a previous Tier 2 application.

The new sponsor gave me the sponsor letter. I cannot apply for extension since i am not with the same sponsor, so where is the link to apply for the new visa from inside the country, and can I do premium service or I can't? where is the link

look this is from the link you gave me
You must also meet the following conditions:

you have the same job as when you were issued your previous permission to enter or stay in the UK
you’re still working for the employer who assigned your certificate of sponsorship

so I cannot apply for extension if I am going to transfer to a different sponsor.

You are applying to change your employer. It's not exactly the same as an extension, but close. Your new sponsor must issue you a new CoS, not just a letter. You probably also need to pass the RLMT etc...

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general

Have a look around the previous link I provided too. You don't seem to have read the link clearly; it is for applicants with various circumstances - which means that some of it is not applicable to you!!! Changing your job is mutually exclusive of extending your visa.

Please read what I have written carefully,

I have said, the new employer has issued a new sponsor letter, and yes it shows on the letter passed labour market research test, yes it says maintenance.

No which application I go for? extension I can't because I am not under the same employer, So now what do i do?

I have read the link you gave me and the guidance and it is confusing, it is not clear what needs to be done.

physicskate posted this before for you but guess you failed to read it "carefully"!!
So, let's try again:

See also How to extend your visa.

Has the new employer given you a CoS?

We all have read everything very very carefully!!! But you are not getting what people are trying to tell you time and again!!!

You are stuck on the fact that says one applies to extend when one remains with the same employer. What everyone else is trying to tell you is that when you change employer even then you "apply to extend".

Two types of extension (to remain in the UK as a Tier 2 (G) migrant):
1. With same employer
2. with a new employer

You keep stuck on 1. despite being told repeatedly that 2. is also possible!

And, shouting will not make you right!

Yes this link takes me to apply for outside the UK, where is the one to apply inside the UK, plus do I fill the application online pay, print it and then book premium service? or the 10 days service?

Thanks

Tier 2 application

Post by gergesm » Tue Jul 28, 2015 11:39 am

I have been given this link

https://visas-immigration.service.gov.u ... r2-general

to apply for inside the UK for Tier 2 application. (I am already on Tier 2 visa and changing sponsor to another one), been told to apply for extension through this link. Is this the correct link to change from one Tier 2 sponsor to another?

Also I wanted to know how will I pay the healthcare since in the application it says "Pay" and that will be only for the application, what if I want the 10 days service? I am not really sure what to do exactly.

Thanks
