I stand to be corrected but I believe once issued there is nothing you can change with regards the CoS. All you can do is cancel the CoS and apply for a new one with the required amendments.kashish wrote:b> Can the SMS user amend the end date to allow a 5 year VISA (instead of a 14 month VISA) by adding a sponsor note while assigning the COS to me(after the RCOS is granted on 13th August)?
So does that mean that start date can be amended by Sponsor note but end date cannot be amended ?sushdmehta wrote:Yeskashish wrote:a> If the earliest i can join is by 1st October 2015 (instead of 1st Sept 2015),will that be an issue while applying for VISA ?I stand to be corrected but I believe once issued there is nothing you can change with regards the CoS. Apologies for the confusion.sushdmehta wrote:Did I state anything to suggest that?

This field is pre-populated with the information you gave on your application for the restricted CoS. If the start date has changed since you applied for the CoS you must add a sponsor note to the CoS to tell us the new start date.
End date
This field will have been pre-populated with the information you gave at the application for restricted CoS stage. If the end date has changed since you applied for the CoS you must add a sponsor note to the CoS to tell us the new start date.
Thanks, I had actually gone thru this earlier, but was not clear whether end date could be changed or not because of the typo in the document. So the end date can be changed via sponsor note (hope iam interpreting you correctlysushdmehta wrote:I stand corrected, there are many (minor) parameters that can be changed for a CoS through sponsor notesPage 38 of 43.Create a CoS - Guide for business sponsors wrote:Start date

Red text - a typo error in the document (should have been "end").

So if the sponsor is changing the end date to 3 or 5 years from existing 14 months, will it cause any complications during VISA filing or is this something that sponsors do occasionally?
Also i take it that sponsor note would be something similar to :
Start Date
End Date
Reason for change:
Is that correct?
Also found a previous post where it was suggested that end date can be changed via sponsor note ( http://www.immigrationboards.com/uk-tie ... 72249.html )
I believe the end date can also be changed with a sponsor note. Page 42, para 2 only gives the start date change as an example:

Ask you sponsor to confirm this with the UKVI business helpline 0300 123 4699 or email:

Thanks.sushdmehta wrote:Yes (245HC).
Thanks. In that case when an employer is submitting an application for RCOS via SMS, how would he provide the additional information regarding the application end date and the fact that application was run for entire duration of 60 days on Universal Jobmatch? Can that be provided as a part of Job Description?sushdmehta wrote:Please keep your queries in a single topic.
28.27 has nothing to do with "job end" date or job description, but to do with "closing date for application" in an advertisement.
Yes, you don't need to mention "closing date of applications" if the advertisement is to run for the standard 60 days on Universal Jobmatch.
