Multiple CoS

Post by EnzoMolinari » Wed Jul 29, 2015 12:52 pm

Hi,

I am at the moment working on Tier 2 General visa but am looking for new job/employer. In case if I receive official offer from Company A and that employer applies/obtains CoS, but I am meantime offered better job by Company B, is having CoS from both current employer and Company A preventing me from going through process with Company B?

Any advises are much appreciated.

Enzo

Yes. If you want to go with B, you need to request A to cancel the CoS in the system. Only then B can go ahead and assign you a CoS. You cannot have two active CoS in your name.

Thanks on such a swift reply. But aren't I going to be in the same situation (2 CoS at the same time) when A applies as I will still be employed by my current employer? Thanks.

The CoS issued by your current employer is effectively "used" once the visa is granted. In the scenario you mentioned, both the CoS will be in "active" state. Please read the T2 guidance document. It's mentioned in there as well.
