Registration of Child

Post by ab.baby » Wed Jul 29, 2015 12:25 pm

Hi All;

I am a new member. I need some help in my kid’s registration process please.
I am explaining my case here;

My son born on 07-03-2007 in UK.
Me and husband got ILR/PR on 14-03-2007.
My son got ILR/PR on 02-11-07.

Went back to India on 08-05-2008 for good.
My daughter born in India on 14-08-2008.

My Husband retained the ILR/PR. He was coming for short term projects in UK.
Again me & my kids back in UK on 07-05-2014. (Settlement visa up till Jan 2017)

My husband has got ILR/PR.
Can I apply for my son and daughter for British passport or registration?? Are they eligible ??

I understand we can, by reading the forums and I need to fill up MN1.

Please guide me - Can I apply for both kids registration? Which form I need to fill up for both kids and which documents I need to provide?

Thanks.

Child born in UK - The child is entitled to register as a British citizen under section 1(3). Use MN1.

Child born abroad - Given that both parents have settled status, the child may apply for registration under section 3(1) when either parent applies for naturalisation (see 9.17.9). Do note that this registration is at discretion.
