Applying EC from US

Hi All,

Thanks for all the valuable comments and posts in this forum. I owe my HSMP approval to this forum. I got my HSMP approved based on all the documents from India till July,2007. Then I moved to US for an onsite assignment for my employer and currently in US with a L1B.

I was wondering whether I should apply for my EC from here in US or from my home state in India. Applying from India seems to be a difficult proposition for me right now.Because if they call me in for an interview it be very difficult for me to be there.
Whereas how I can apply for EC from US and what documentation is required? For e.g. I saw that in immigration site for India if you have HSMP approval you need to fill up an extra document to describe your earned points whereas in UK in US immigration site there is no such document.So any idea about such specifics?

Appreciate if any one of you guys has faced the same thing and provide me some inputs.

Since how long you been in US?
If more than 3 months, then I would suggest go with US BHC documnetation.

Best is to call BHC US.

I have been here in US for more than three months now. But i applied for HSMP from US with all the documentations of India.
I applied on Oct,2007 and till July,2007 it is coming under their 15 months range so I gave all the details of my India salary from August,2006 to July,2007. I came to US in July also.

Can this cause any problem for me for getting EC here? Yes calling up the BHC is a good idea. Thanks!
