Hi my friend is from morocco but lives in Germany with his wife he wants to come visit me and my family but were not sure if he needs a visit visa or not he has a residenancy card/permanent visa for germany! Any help would be very much appreciated

He'll definitely need a UK visitor visa.

Is his wife (or children, if any) a German citizen?

If so, he should be able to accompany his German wife/child on a trip to the UK without a visa. There may however be delays at the immigration counter.

However, it would be much safer to get a UK visit visa. I believe that it should be free for family members of EEA citizens.

If he has the residency card issued to family members of EU citizens under article 10, And he is travelling with his wife or meeting her in the UK then he does not need a visa!
