Renewing Tier 2 General Visa Enquiry

Post by yaskamal » Fri Aug 07, 2015 12:27 pm

Dear Sire/Madam,

I came to UK on Tier 2 Visa on March 2013 and my family joined me on Feb 2014.
My current visa is due to expire in end Mar 2016, I was planning to renew it this year November 2015 for another 3 years.

My dependants wont be able to complete 5 years in UK if I renew my Tier 2 general visa in November 2015 for 3 years. (dependants will be short of 3 months)

Can my dependant eligible to apply for PR along with me once I complete 5 years?

What if she has to complete five years then in this case tier 2 dependant visa may expire before my dependant completes 5 year, What I should be doing then after the dependant Tier 2 visa expire?

Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The dependants may apply only when they meet the requirements for settlement, not before. They will be eligible for settlement no earlier than 28 days before their 5th anniversary of entry in to the UK.

In 2018/2019, they should apply for extension of leave to remain as PBS dependant by post beofre their leave expires, and if a decision has not been taken by the time they become eligible for settlement, then they may request for variation of application to ILR.
