switch from tier 2 long term staff partner to tier 2 genera

Hi
I've a tier2 ICT long term staff partner spouse visa.
My husband's employer in UK had sponsored my visa in Nov 2014 to be expired on 27.12.2015. I came in UK in January 2015 and found a skilled job for me in another UK based company. Now my husband is leaving this country in Sept 2015 to meet the cooling off period requirements for 12 months. My current employer is ready to sponsor me. My question is can I switch to tier 2 General Visa and if the answer is yes, then can I apply it while being in UK or do I need to go back to my home country for to get entry clearance.

Any response shall be much appreciated.

You cannot switch.
But you can change your immigration category from PBS dependant to Tier 2 migrant. To do this you'll need a rCoS and will have to apply for entry clearance from outside the UK.
