Language points for Spouse from India via UKBA Calculator

Hi All,

I was reading some topics and found that:

1. If spouse is from outside UK, then we cannot use the screenshot from the UKBA calculator for English language
2. I used the screenshot and sent my degree certificate when applying for the citizenship from UK

Is this correct, if so any reason why?
